Before I came to Chicago, I learned 廚師 is a cooker.
But when I said I am a cooker in US, a native speaker corrected me that.
He said "you are a cook not a cooker".
Few days ago, we discussed about this topic.
Most of us all thought "cooker" is right.
Therefore, I tried to figure out.
Then I got the answer:
cook-->someone who cooks food
cooker-->a utensil(tool) for cooking
So remember next time we should say"I am a cook " not "a cooker".
